MY PETS

Hi everyone,

Today i’m going to talk about my pets. Well, I have 4 pets: 3 dogs and 1 cat. The dogs name are Polilla, Pancha and Bascur, like the rapper from Chile and the cat name is Chuchuca, like the Axe Bahía song. About Polilla and Chuchuca I found them in the street when they are just a babies and I beg to my parents with my little brother to adopt them and they accept. Pancha is from my mom and it’s the oldest one, she have 8 years old and Bascur is a weiner dog that my uncle gives me. They live in Arica (my native city) with my mom so since I left my home for my university studies I see them in the winter and the summer vacations L but I really take advantage of this time so I take them out for a walk and everything they need or they like. The truth is that I miss a lot my pets but I can’t do anything while I don’t finish the university, but as soon as I finish my studies I will come back to Arica or I hope so. Sometimes I think about adopt a mouse or a rat because since I’m a child I want one of this animals because they are very pretty but I have not decide it yet for many reasons, but maybe I will do it sometime.

MY EXPERIENCE USING BLOGS

My experience using blogs in this class was good and interesting because I never used this platform before or any webpage where I can express my opinions, thoughts or any what I want to write. About my writing skills I feel that I improved a lot, not too much in vocabulary – if I learned new words I forget it because I have a bad memory :( - but in the ability to write the things that I think faster than before (in English) and this is thanks to the practice so this is a good method used by the professors or the English Department for teach and is more creative than all the time doing exercise guides on paper. Other think that I liked and enjoy about the work in blogs is that I meet some points of view about specific topics of my classmates and this is a dynamic that wouldn’t happen with other types of activities. For finish, I would like to include in the future maybe write exercises with more controversial topics like politic, local or world news, or the expressions of beliefs ...

BREAD AND ROSES FILM

Hi everybody, now I’m going to talk about Bread and Roses, a film directed by Ken Loach and released for the first time in 2000. I liked so much this film because, in my opinion, the messages that the film deliver are so important and show   you by a real way, so anyone who watch this film can generate conscience about all the problems that are present in it. About my favorite character is Sam Shapiro, first of all, because Adrien brody gives life to the character and I really like the movies where he acts and for the struggle that he represents. But all the women characters I like too, because they shows their strength.        One thing that I liked about the film was the cast that was selected and one thing that I didn’t like was that the film was a little slow and the colors or tones that the team used in the film, because it seems to me that it was very dark. CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAM

Hi everyone, How are you? Today I’m going to write about some changes that I consider relevant to do in my study program. The truth I don’t know very much about other universities with anthropology and their study programs so I can’t compare, but I think the curriculum or subjects that impart in this university are good and complete because we learn the necessary things to be good anthropologists, but maybe it would be good that the professors teach us or bring us closer to what will be our professional field and not only postulates, theories, etc. About the building facilities, in my opinion is the best thing that the department have, is new and big so I don’t have complaints about it, I like it (I refer to the "aularios" or big classrooms because we have classes only there, not in facso jjj)  J the use of technology it’s ok, all the professors that I have use digital methods for teach us, like PowerPoints, videos and always use the “u-cursos” platform for every annou...
