Hi everyone! I love watch films so I really enjoy write about this. I think that Suffragette is a very good film, I liked it very much when I saw it, mainly because reminds me a part of the women's history  and their struggle for the gender equality, struggle that sometimes I forgot because I asumme some rights as naturals, fogetting all the things that women did to obtain this rights. My favorite character are Maud Watts because I admire her personality, she was very a brave woman and Emmeline Pankhurst because I love her speech scene. About my favorite scene, it was the Pankhurst's speech scene, when she gives a speech in the balcony. It was a very spiring scene, like when she says " I would rather be a rebel than a slave". Hi everybody, now I’m going to talk about Bread and Roses, a film directed by Ken Loach and released for the first time in 2000. I liked so much this film because, in my opinion, the messages that the film deliver are so important and show   you by a real way, so anyone who watch this film can generate conscience about all the problems that are present in it. About my favorite character is Sam Shapiro, first of all, because Adrien brody gives life to the character and I really like the movies where he acts and for the struggle that he represents. My experience using blogs in this class was good and interesting because I never used this platform before or any webpage where I can express my opinions, thoughts or any what I want to write. About my writing skills I feel that I improved a lot, not too much in vocabulary – if I learned new words I forget it because I have a bad memory :( - but in the ability to write the things that I think faster than before (in English) and this is thanks to the practice so this is a good method used by the professors or the English Department for teach and is more creative than all the time doing exercise guides on paper. Other think that I liked and enjoy about the work in blogs is that I meet some points of view about specific topics of my classmates and this is a dynamic that wouldn’t happen with other types of activities. What is cultural appropriation? Well, the cultural appropriation refers to the use of symbols, tools, rituals or any technologies wich belong to a culture by someone who isn't part of it. The process of cultural appropriation usually is carried out by a worldpower that takes some kind of cultural aspects from any community that throughout its history has suffered some kind of domination.   An example of that happens in India. This country has been victim of cultural appropriation many times mostly because the popularity of their history and beliefs. This problem can be reflected in the case of the Bindi. Since I meet the mobile applications I don’t visit so much websites, I only do it when I have to look for information for my university subjects. But there are two apps that I usually use and there also have websites: Youtube and Facebook. The first one is my favorite of all because its unique in its kind and I really enjoy it because Youtube have millions and millions of videos with many types of “topics” and music. For this reasons this website is wich I visit the most and I would venture to say that I visit it everyday and a lot of times in the day.  My second and last favorite website that I like to mention is Facebook. When I think what would like to work in future comes to my mind only one thing: help people. I'm not sure if my university carreer will be the tool to get it but i would like to try to do by this way. As I mentioned before, I'm studying anthopology and I want to "specialize" in social anthropology and altoughs somestines I question myself if I want to use this way to help people, this carreer have a lot of tools fot achieve it.  I would like this job because is more easy to me the social area than others and antropology would allow me help people, but How this carreer allows me that? for example, I could work in educationals institutions, corporations or in all levels of goberments, so in this areas I would have more incidence for achieve changes in the people lifes.  When I become a social anthropologist I will need a lot of skills, like social abilities (social interaction or effective comunication), understand the human diversity, skills for collect and un...

NATIONALISM IN CHILE.  About our national holiday, Fiestas Patrias, I don't think that is wrong to cover up in a happy and party atmosphere and use this date like an excuse for pass the time with the people that you love, but when the people starts with all this nationalism dialog that intensifies in this dates I wonder if I really should celebrate this holiday. I criticize the nationalism, or specifically, the nationalist and separatist people because I think that they get a violent and xenophobic stance but only with people from specific nationalities and they believe that this immigrants will do a kind of "ocuppation" in the country and alter the national welfare, but all we know that this situation is very far away from the reality and this people is only based on prejudices.
