When I think what would like to work in future comes to my mind only one thing: help people. I'm not sure if my university carreer will be the tool to get it but i would like to try to do by this way. As I mentioned before, I'm studying anthopology and I want to "specialize" in social anthropology and altoughs somestines I question myself if I want to use this way to help people, this carreer have a lot of tools fot achieve it.  I would like this job because is more easy to me the social area than others and antropology would allow me help people, but How this carreer allows me that? for example, I could work in educationals institutions, corporations or in all levels of goberments, so in this areas I would have more incidence for achieve changes in the people lifes.  When I become a social anthropologist I will need a lot of skills, like social abilities (social interaction or effective comunication), understand the human diversity, skills for collect and un...

NATIONALISM IN CHILE.  About our national holiday, Fiestas Patrias, I don't think that is wrong to cover up in a happy and party atmosphere and use this date like an excuse for pass the time with the people that you love, but when the people starts with all this nationalism dialog that intensifies in this dates I wonder if I really should celebrate this holiday. I criticize the nationalism, or specifically, the nationalist and separatist people because I think that they get a violent and xenophobic stance but only with people from specific nationalities and they believe that this immigrants will do a kind of "ocuppation" in the country and alter the national welfare, but all we know that this situation is very far away from the reality and this people is only based on prejudices.

ABOUT ME. Hi, My name es Valentina Tapia, I'm 21 years old and I was born in Arica but I left the city when I finish the high school for begin the University in Valparaiso, but I don't like the carreer that I choose so I left the career and currently   I'm in the first year of anthropology, here in Santiago. I don't really do so much things besides the university but I like go to concerts, festivals or anything related to music and also likes me go to the cinema to watch movies every time that I can.
